Past

- Callegari Spa -

Callegari S.p.A was founded in 1930 as a distributor of pharmaceutical and medical products but was soon to become one of the major point of care companies for diagnostic testing in pharmacies in Europe. The concept of diagnostic testing services in the pharmacy was in fact developed and introduced into the pharmacy by Callegari S.p.A as far back as the late 1980’s and then later in the rest of Europe. By the late 1990’s Callegari S.p.A was acquired by the Catellani Group of Companies. The acquisition marked intense restructuring of the company into a fully independent research and development and manufacturing company of near patient testing instrumentation providing a greater focus on point of care testing on International markets. Year 2001 saw the creation of two new companies, Catellani Diagnostics and Innova Engineering responsible for the R & D of new technologies and chemistries for Callegari S.p.A and major suppliers around the world in the health, wellness and cosmetic fields.

Today Callegari is recognised as being a dynamic and flexible company and is structured right through from R & D, manufacturing and after sales service providing customers with full expertise in all areas.
A high emphasis is placed in R & D and Quality which are focused on bringing the PoC field with cost-effective, appropriate and timely solutions for operators in all fields. The Quality Management System is considered as fundamental to our operation, the effectiveness of which provides the basis for continual improvement. The combined Catellani group quality is assured in accordance with International Standards including the ISO 9001:2000 (Quality System certification) and was one of the first companies to obtain the In vitro diagnostic medical device certification conforming to the 98/79/CE on the date of enforcement on December 5th 2005.
Callegari distributes it’s products directly in Italy via it’s own sales network effectively covering the whole of Italy including Islands and through a wide network of distributors on International markets and attracts highly skilled and professional distributors world-wide. A high emphasis has always been placed on establishing and maintaining open and close partnerships with our partners world-wide. In this way Callegari actively seeks out opportunities to continuously improve it’s skills and understanding of market requirements, to try new things and make life easier for operators, and to achieve excellence in all areas of activity.
We strongly believe that superior After Sales Service is critical to the success of a company. Properly handled, effective and timely service is fundamental to near and long-term growth and customer and distributor support, knowledgeable and cost-effective maintenance and prompt delivery in crucial to After Sales Service.
The Company is aware that training is fundamental for the success of customers and distributors and fully supports them with operational and sales training and a continuous follow up of new customers is guaranteed throughout time.

Callegari is currently active in three key diagnostic fields:
Health/Medical/Prevention, Beauty and Wellness

And provides OEM agreements in all of these sectors.
